Anyone ever just need a change? Tired of store-bought stuff? Your hair changes due to health, weather, or you just need something new. It is a woman’s prerogative to change her mind, right? Homemade is so satisfying when it comes to beauty products and coconut milk shampoo is so easy and fun to make. I am surrounded by things to switch up my No Poo, W.O.W, Low Poo routine. Organic coconut oil, Vitamin E, Organic Shea Butter, Raw Honey, Sweet Almond Oil, Essential Oils, Baking Soda, Apple Cider Vinegar with Mother, basically everything you can imagine. Today led me on a quest for something to do with coconut milk. I decided to make Homemade Coconut Milk Shampoo Low Poo or just for a switch.
The principle behind No Poo just keeps finding its way into different areas of my life. Today, it was laundry powder. I never stopped to think about it before, but what kind of garbage goes into the very powder that “cleans” the clothes that rest on our skin all day everyday. Reading about it frightened me.
I have been looking for a scent for a while that’s not over bearing but is soft and sensual. I have made sprays with vodka and vanilla, but it wasn’t exactly what I was looking for.
Tonight my reading found a nice combination of scents, but instead of water or vodka it called for almond oil which I do not have. I tend to go to coconut oil for everything from hair to skin. So I thought I would give it a try and see how it worked out.
I have very sensitive skin, so i was excited and nervous to try this process.
Its a extremely simple process. You will need container with a lid (I mixed mine up in a small plastic cup with a lid as I made enough for two cleansings and I washed my body with it), cotton balls, Apple Cider Vinegar with “Mother”, and water.
